On Sunday, September 12, I arrived in Charleston, SC after attending the conference in Orlando. By Tuesday, September 14, I was running away up I-95 to avoid Hurricane Floyd. Although the hurricane reached landfall in North Carolina, at the time we decided to leave, it looked very possible we were going to take a direct hit.

So, our associate director did the prudent thing and told us to go home. The next twelve hours was spent in a white Chevy Astro van with five of my co-workers. Unfortunately, we were too busy getting home for me to get my camera out of my suitcase and take a picture of everyone who was on this voyage. However, during the Monday morning I was there, I did have a chance to check out a Charleston museum and get some shots of some historical items from this city. Please click on any of the below pictures for a closer look.

By the way, the clouds in the background are from an actual picture of Hurricane Floyd.
