Of course you can't go on a cruise without sailing on a ship and the S/V Polynesia is what sailing is all about.
The Polynesia, run by
Windjammer Cruise Lines, allowed us to sail instead of cruise through the Carribean, like they do on those
big foo-foo ships that go to Alaska. On this ship, we walked at a 45 degree angle
to the deck, got rained on in the dining room, had food fall on us in the dining room, took cold showers (in the
bathroom), and got seasick (in whatever room you can imagine). And we loved it! ARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

| At the end of the rainbow. Notice there are actually two rainbows and that there is a
small sailboat almost at the end of it. | |
The widow's net on the Polynesia. This is perhaps my favorite picture from the trip. |

When President Clinton heard that his two best
Federal employees were about to be stranded
in the Carribean.
He immediately called for a stop
to the American Airlines strike.
