

A picture of my mother, stepfather, and Peggy walking into the grove of cherry trees. You can see them in the lower right of the picture. For a better look, just click the picture.
As the breeze blew, cherry blossoms fell from the trees, making it look like it was raining cherry blossoms.
This plaque marks the first cherry tree that was planted in Washington after Japan made its initial gift to the United States in 1912.
I took this picture because I thought the contrast between the delicate blossoms and the military chopper would make for an interesting picture. You can see the Jefferson Memorial in the lower left.
